At an altitude of 3135m, the Gorner Ridge (from where this photograph was taken) offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Swiss Alps. The Gorner Glacier occupies the left portion of the image and the peaks of Nordend, Dufourspitze (4688m), Lyskamm, Castor and Pollux can be seen from left to right.
