Cut off from most of the Western World since the mid-1960s, large sections of the capital of the Cuban capital of Havana have remained unchanged for decades. The American photographer Carol Highsmith went to Cuba in 2010 to create a historical record of the effects of Cuba’s isolation. The wonderful photograph is just one of the many amazing images Highsmith created.
